Embracing Your Uniqueness: Perseverance, Disruption, and the Power of Standing Out
Myles’s journey from a small rural town to the global runway has taught them the importance of celebrating what makes them different.
In this talk, Myles shares their personal story of growing up in a close-knit rural community, overcoming obstacles, and discovering their true self. They discuss the challenges they faced when moving to Toronto to pursue a modelling career, the resilience required to persist through rejection, and the transformative impact of embracing their unique qualities on both their career and personal life.
Myles describes how sharing their authentic self on-line opened doors to incredible opportunities, including collaborating with world-renowned brands. Their hope is to inspire others to recognize that what makes them different is not a weakness, but the very thing that can become their greatest strength when nurtured. Myles invites us to explore how perseverance and self-acceptance can empower us all to disrupt norms and realize our full potential.

Myles’s HIV Journey – Transforming Pain and Reclaiming Power
In this compelling keynote, Myles shares their personal story of growing up in a small town, where access to inclusive and empowering sexual health education was limited. This lack of information meant they had to navigate the challenges of insufficient sexual health education, ultimately facing the life-altering experience of an HIV diagnosis at 27. While medication is a crucial first step in managing HIV, Myles emphasizes that it is only the beginning. The most difficult aspect of their journey has been the mental and emotional healing required to move forward. This presentation stands as a testament to courage, vulnerability, and Myles’s ongoing quest to reclaim power over trauma, offering inspiration and hope to anyone navigating their own path to self-acceptance and resilience.

Does Clothing Have a Gender? Demystifying Gender & Fashion and How Clothing is Really Gender Neutral
Join Myles for a thought-provoking keynote that explores the intersection of gender and fashion, drawing from their personal experience growing up in a rural town and discovering a passion for style in unexpected places. This presentation challenges traditional norms by highlighting how clothing serves as a means of self-expression rather than a marker of gender.
Through a brief journey into the history of fashion trends and how garments have transcended gender boundaries across generations, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of why clothing is inherently gender neutral.
Practical tips will be shared on fostering inclusivity in retail spaces, focusing on body shapes and sizes rather than gender labels, empowering everyone to shop freely and confidently.
