Joze Piranian

From Debilitating Stutter to Standing Ovations Worldwide (Bilingual)

From Debilitating Stutter to Standing Ovations Worldwide

Joze Piranian is living proof that the very thing that once held you back can become your greatest strength.

A lifelong stutterer born and raised in Lebanon, Joze spent over 25 years avoiding speaking altogether, paralyzed by the fear of being judged for sounding different. Today, he’s a Forbes-featured global TEDx speaker, award-winning performer, and one of the most refreshing voices on conquering fear as well as on mental health and disability inclusion.

After being named Inspirational Speaker of the Year (2017), Joze’s career took off. He has since delivered five TEDx talks, performed stand-up comedy across three continents, and four languages (he stutters in six languages ~ yes, really). His work blends humour, vulnerability, and insight in a way audiences don’t just remember—they feel.

Joze holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology (McGill University) and a Master’s in International Business (Queen’s University). He has delivered hundreds of keynotes and performances for leading organizations including Google, Netflix, Meta, BlackRock, IBM, BCG, as well as at conferences and educational institutions around the world.

Words Left Unspoken, the film about Joze’s journey, has had premieres in Los Angeles and New York City, in addition to being nominated for 3 Canadian Screen Awards. In 2026, Joze’s book “Stop Holding Back – An Honest Guide to Turning Fear into Action” was published by HarperCollins.

With millions of views on Goalcast, Joze has also been featured on TED, Forbes, ABC, and John Krasinski’s Some Good News, but it’s his ability to connect deeply, disarmingly, and authentically with live audiences that makes him unforgettable.
